P: Move Tool - Toggle auto select shortcut changed

Hello. The changed shortcuts to toggle the autoselection of layers with the move tool selected is highly frustrating to me. I used to have a great workflow with auto select turned on and used cmd to drag elements that were either off-canvas or too small / too transparent to grab them. Now it seems to be inverted: I need to turn auto select off to toggle with cmd. When it is turned on, cmd seems to toggle now between layer and group auto selection.
I can't understand why this was changed or is at least not something I can switch between in the preferences.

Thanks you very much for looking into this.

Thanks for adding yourself to the list. Hopefully we'll see something soon (sigh), and hopefully it will work the way we're all used to for all these years.

I've been following this thread for a while now and I'm surprised there hasn't been a fix yet... I wanted to add to this list of frustrated users and ask that something be done soon. I did not realize how much this small change would slow down my work flow.

The LACK OF ACTION from you guys (Photoshop team) on this issue is ANNOYING. I thought I had a corrupted version of Photoshop CC 2014 and uninstalled and re-installed about 10x!

So when I figured out non of my solutions were working, I looked it up and BOOM! IT WAS YOU! I am SO UPSET!!!!!!!

FIX IT! We didn't get asked about this. It wasted hours of my time. I work with very large Photoshop files with gazzillions of layers and groups and ended up using keyboard arrows to move single layers - the user experience has dropped on a scale of 1-10 to 1!

Right on. I understand that.
When I found out the move tool's behavior had been changed I was also furious. More so than I'd like to admit.

Cool thanks for following up... I think most people wouldn't need a toggle in preferences, we just want to have it back like it always was (or at the very least a way to toggle it back). Adobe usually doesn't change legacy operations like this.

Yes, sorry for that. But that day....OMG, I don't want to live like it again in my office. Whole day wasted to fix documents, I've tried to downgrade etc. and then tried to fix document on current version. But, after that crisis I've decided to learn new tool and I think I work with that.

The only problem now, when you on other tools instead of Move(V), if you press the CTRL it doesn't select layer/group. You have to be on Move tool to select a layer or group when you press the CTRL. This is only problem now in my PS life.

And, there will be definitely a toggle on preferences. I hope so for the new and old move tool behaviour.

Yeah I wasn't sure how Adobe even lets that type of outrage on the forum. I guess they're big on free speech lol. Agreed though, you will never get what you want by screaming.
