P: Move Tool - Toggle auto select shortcut changed

Hello. The changed shortcuts to toggle the autoselection of layers with the move tool selected is highly frustrating to me. I used to have a great workflow with auto select turned on and used cmd to drag elements that were either off-canvas or too small / too transparent to grab them. Now it seems to be inverted: I need to turn auto select off to toggle with cmd. When it is turned on, cmd seems to toggle now between layer and group auto selection.
I can't understand why this was changed or is at least not something I can switch between in the preferences.

Thanks you very much for looking into this.

Thanks SG. It would also be helpful to see the version number near the App name somehow, like "Photoshop CC (2014 1.2)."

Please change the move tool's behavior back!
(or add a toggle switch in pref's but who would ever use it?)

At first I thought I had a bug and restarted Photoshop.
Then I realized the move tool had in fact had its behavior changed.

I cannot stress this enough: the change was a very bad idea.
To non-power users it may seem like a small issue, but to me it has greatly altered how Photoshop feels to use, for the worse.
The move tool is my "hands" when editing projects and it's like my thumbs have been cut off now. The user experience feels AWFUL.

I did try to adjust to it, thinking maybe I am just accustomed to how I've been doing things for over a decade and not willing to change. But, no, I cannot adjust to this change.

The way it handicaps your workflow is absolutely undeniable.

Please, PLEASE change it back.

Last thing: before random, subjective "improvements" are made to Photoshop, is there a place we real users can go to cast a vote on possible changes/new features -before- implementation?
I'm interested in helping prevent things like this from happening in the future and am willing to spend my personal time to do so.

Hahaha wow.
This comment is hilarious.
While I too am equally flabbergasted at the change to the move tool, I'm also mature enough not to childishly insult Adobe employees.
This behavior isn't going to help us get what we need. Think twice, please.

Hi Uri,

When you see there are updates in the CC desktop app, you can click on the 'What's New?' to see a little blurb about the update.

Bear in mind that if you downgrade you'll get the PS version in which you can select layers even if they're locked or hidden (try moving something and you get the error).

So you'll have to decide which one will affect your workflow more.

I chose to downgrade.
