P: Move Tool - Toggle auto select shortcut changed

Hello. The changed shortcuts to toggle the autoselection of layers with the move tool selected is highly frustrating to me. I used to have a great workflow with auto select turned on and used cmd to drag elements that were either off-canvas or too small / too transparent to grab them. Now it seems to be inverted: I need to turn auto select off to toggle with cmd. When it is turned on, cmd seems to toggle now between layer and group auto selection.
I can't understand why this was changed or is at least not something I can switch between in the preferences.

Thanks you very much for looking into this.

Yes, I'm doing this now, every time I want to select an object I just press CMD. A bit annoying, but thank you guys to keep us updated. It's good to know that you are aware of this and a fix is coming soon.

Not without its limitations, I've been using cmd+t as an interim fix, for moving grouped layers.

Let's try and stay constructive here! They've acknowledged the mistake and we're just waiting on a fix.

Thanks for the heads up. I've switched back to an older CC version while waiting for the fix.

What's killing me was indeed having to inverse: it felt like having to release instead of pushing the brake pedal when you want to stop the car.

Ditto to exactly what @959930 Huber just said, that's whats killing me.

The auto-select wasn't the problem in my case. It was the possibility to drag my selected layers and folders independently from the position of the cursor, by holding the cmd key. Right now, if I don't start dragging while the cursor is over one of the selected objects, it inevitably will change my selection. Toggling auto-select doesn't change that.

Great to hear it's going to be rolled back though. Thanks for the update!

Great news! Honestly, I tend to work with mostly auto-select being selected and command key only to temporarily switch off the auto-select. Can't wait, thanks for the update.

Thanks for this! Will still be looking for it to go back to normal, but this is a nice compromise in the mean time.

We're still planning to roll this change back... but I want to make sure all you guys knew... if you uncheck auto-select:

CMD still toggles between auto-select and not. I know it's not ideal for most of you here... but you *can* work similarly to the way you did before in this fashion. Just inverse when you hold down command.
