P: Option key not working in/with Gradient Tool

Mac OS Ventura 13.01

While using Gradient Tool the OPTION key doesn't sample colors like the eye dropper anymore.

Using the previous version of PSD on the same computer works fine

Version 24.2 does fix the Opt-Gradient/Paintbucket eyedropper bug. It's all working normally on MacOS 12.6.3

Can someone help me?
I don't know if it's something trivial I have to deal with or the way photoshop was updated to be.
Before, while working with gradients, I used to select the color for my current gradient by just pressing Alt and picking a color in my document. Now when I press alt to select a color while using my gradient tool it does not select the color.

For the last few updates I've noticed an issue with selcting colors via the alt button while using the gradient tool. Still works correctly with the brush tool. I'm not sure if its a bug or a selection within the hotkeys that I overlooked.

Holding down shift while right clicking using Gradient tool no longer bring up Tool mode (Work fine with brush, buckets etc)
