P: Photoshop 22:0: Text selecting/editing UI not displaying in CMYK, LAB modes

When I select the text or try to edit some text in a CMYK file it doesn't show anything showing whether or not I selected that text.

I can edit normally, but without this information it gets a little complicated to know what I'm selecting or not

*Shanay Butler  This solution worked for me as well.

Nope. Same issue in RGB and CMYK for me.

Not true for everyone. I'm having the issue in RGB docs.

I have this issue whether I'm creating RGB or CMYK docs.

There is no cursor when you type, and you can't highlight text properly (you can however edit text 'blind').

It's clearly a bug, that essentially made the software unusable.

There are 'workarounds' posted online (e.g. start a new doc can apparently help). That somehow made the cursor gain a little more functionality (but still far from perfect). but basically... I've had to revert to ps2020 for now.

I'm having the same issue!

Have to guess where the end of the type box is if I want to change the size of it. How many times have I deleted the entire writing because I thought i selected only one letter? Ugh

Hi all. I was having the same exact issues and became so irritated.  I went to Edit, Preferences, General, and then I clicked the RESET PREFERENCES ON QUIT. I then restarted Photoshop and everything was good.  I hope this helps.
