P: Photoshop 22.0: Where is Line Weight/Width and Pixels options?

I'm having trouble using the Line Tool in PS 22.0.0.

How do I set the width/weight of the line? In PS 21 there was a "Weight" option along the top bar, but I don't see that anymore. Am I missing it? Or did it move?

This might be a separate issue, but the lines I'm drawing are not showing up. I have a fill color and stroke color selected, but when I make a line, I don't see it. I just see a blue outline of where it is... the same that might happen if I made a "path" instead of a "shape."

I just need to make a line with a width/weight of 20px.

@Kaz Vorpal " Same with the idiots at Google who actively chose to disable the ability to right click and copy an image in gmail."  Google was correctly concerned about being enablers to copywrite theft.

Your other quote: "And when they are, they should have it slapped out of them by strongly worded criticism."

So, you advocate violence when other people's views and interests are not aligned with yours?

I skip Budweiser TV ads. That's the benefit of modern TV technologies.

There is no excuse for the sheer arrogance of actively taking away features that is so common in corporate development today. If the guys at Adobe are people too, they should learn to act like it. Same with the idiots at Google who actively chose to disable the ability to right click and copy an image in gmail. They think they know better than we do, about when to use a pixel line, when to copy an image without concern for lost resolution, et cetera.

Arrogance.

"People" shouldn't be arrogant.

And when they are, they should have it slapped out of them by strongly worded criticism.

You are right! I feel disabled since I lost that line tool. Working around it all the time. I paid for a version with, and now, without a warning I have to do without...

I signed up for it and wasted my morning on the video. All I got was a lot of namedropping and people shouldn't hate on adobe because they're people too. Which is entirely missing the point of the fact that adobe decided to remove an oft used tool that was critical to a workflow that helped put food on the table for my kids.

@DGrainger   No one in this thread affected by this issue cares that you don't need the line tool and that this update hasn't ruined your workflow.

However, entire professional studios like ours rely heavily on this simple pixel line tool to do complex illustrations, inking, concepts and so on.  As a environment designer of 8 years for film/animation myself and my colleagues need this tool as it is, so this change was unacceptable.  Maybe you just need to leave this thread if it bothers you so many of us are upset with this change?  I'm curious why you are so defensive of Adobe here.  They goofed up hard.  We are holding them to it until we get a solution.

I agree, his humor is juvenile, but the points made later in are worth watching. Thirty seconds is less time than one gives to a Budweiser TV ad!!!

PS: thanks for finding a quicker access point for the link!

It would take me a lot more time to do an essay / summary than it would for you to just go watch the the video. It is done by Scott Kelby, founder of NAPP now known as KelbyONE, who has been very important in educational materials about Adobe products, has more than 500 courses done by well known experts. I offered that lead to you and others, and do not expect to have to spoon feed it! I find their Grid web casts and all of their courses have taught me a lot.

Sure, but I really don't have the time to sign up to watch something to see the point you're trying to make.

Can't you simply say it?

@RF23  There is a free trial access to that site; there is a lot of information in that video that would be useful to see.

@cielchan Huh? What's your point? Do you object to learning something?
