P: Photoshop 22.0: Where is Line Weight/Width and Pixels options?

I'm having trouble using the Line Tool in PS 22.0.0.

How do I set the width/weight of the line? In PS 21 there was a "Weight" option along the top bar, but I don't see that anymore. Am I missing it? Or did it move?

This might be a separate issue, but the lines I'm drawing are not showing up. I have a fill color and stroke color selected, but when I make a line, I don't see it. I just see a blue outline of where it is... the same that might happen if I made a "path" instead of a "shape."

I just need to make a line with a width/weight of 20px.

The line tool is not available anymore in the "pixel mode" in Photoshop, and I can't think of a good reason why. It's part of many workflows that are more "paint" oriented, so while I can understand that maybe Adobe is trying to improve the tools for graphic designers, I don't understand why you would remove something that is useful for so many people. I don't think it harms anyone to just keep it there while also adding new functionalities. Please, bring it back, none of the workarounds that I have seen in Adobe forums will substitute the beauty of being able to draw a pixel line straight away.

@mark_dahm   Can you you hurry up reinstating the line tool pixel functionality?  I keep getting prompts to update PS but none include this fix. I'm losing faith that Adobe actually listen to their user feedback. Have reverted to PS 2020 and will simply not update until this fixed.

20-year Photoshop user here....Please bring back the line tool ASAP!  It is invaluable for quick touch-ups to architectural renderings.  I made an account just to complain about this.

@mark_dahm   Hang in there, Mark! This forum has taken on the characteristics of Bastille Day and that mob is unruly!  You and Jeffrey T, I hope, are not taking the snottier remarks personally!

Sounds reasonable. My only request would be to post back to this same thread (which I am watching and receiving email notifications every time there is a new post) when the old functionality is available on the new version of Photoshop. That would be very helpful.

@patrickwilson Please READ what the Adobe employee Dahm wrote: "This thread is getting very long and dense; in case it wasn't being stated clearly enough wherever you joined this conversation, we are working on restoring the line tool functionality that many here have noted to be important to key workflows. Thank you for your patience; as many have stated, the previous version will work as a stopgap until we get the update out there."

That is within this thread, and it is pretty clear that they ARE working on the fix. To simply join in with what has become a Group Howl, does not change the progression of things with that update!

Thank You Adobe for listening to your customers and promising to restore the line tool functionality. Let's close the thread with an official notification at the top that it will be restored ASAP. It may take a few months, but that is ok because we have the older version.

I agree - this thread should probably be closed with your note at the top as an official response.
