P: Photoshop 22.0: Where is Line Weight/Width and Pixels options?

I'm having trouble using the Line Tool in PS 22.0.0.

How do I set the width/weight of the line? In PS 21 there was a "Weight" option along the top bar, but I don't see that anymore. Am I missing it? Or did it move?

This might be a separate issue, but the lines I'm drawing are not showing up. I have a fill color and stroke color selected, but when I make a line, I don't see it. I just see a blue outline of where it is... the same that might happen if I made a "path" instead of a "shape."

I just need to make a line with a width/weight of 20px.

I think he has every right to keep complaining if its affecting his workflow.  Quite frankly the worst thing Adobe ever did was this subscription con. Days of old you bought a new version if you thought their new stuff was worth it and brought enhancements to your productivity. Adobe had to be on the ball and innovative to make people be interested in their software. Now if you don't like what they have done to the software and don't want to pay for these horrendous updates after horrendous updates then you completely lose your software. No matter what crap they release, we have to still keep paying. They know this, which is why the don't care about users anymore. If people stop complaining then Adobe will just brush this issue under the mat. Something they are obviously trying to do after ignoring the issue for over 4 months. Quite frankly I think they have no intention of returning it to how it was.

I agree with Ceillchan about the "paying for months" part.

I thought the whole point of the subscription model was to get fixes and updates out to users QUICKLY.  I've been annoyed with Adobe for various reasons since 2012 (and I've been a Photoshop user since 1994).  So far I've found more reasons to stick with it than to ditch it but there will be a "straw that breaks the camel's back".  Ironically, I won't be able to draw that straw with a simple line tool unless I use an old version oh Photoshop

People is allowed to be angry when they have been paying for months and not getting what they are paying for. Perhaps is not the best attitude to have, I second that, yet is a very reasonable one. Specially if their income is being affected during a pandemic.

What Is not okay is to be attacking members on this forum the way you do, constantly, when they write something you don’t like.

I took a peek at your profile and half of your responses have a bad tone. Could you kindly stop, at least, on this forum? Thank you.

In case you did not read the original, here's a copy for you. Your 'angry post" count is up a few since it was written...

You have posted exactly 15 messages since you joined towards the end of October, 2020, all are on this topic, most are just angry, but a couple are quite abusive, directed at an employee who is not the one who would make any programming changes. This is not a very nice way to either get your point across or to make anyone want to help you.

Repeating the same blast, over and over, is the same as continuing to hammer long after the nail is seated. Doing so does not drive the nail further, and it damages the wood."

@mark_dahm I am also stuck on previous version. Many people are obviously frustrated checking each of the multiple new Photoshop upgrades to see if this issue has been addressed.

These updates (which do not reinstate the line tool) suggest that it is not a high priority for Adobe. Furthermore it suggests that the sincerity of the few positive indications that have been made by Adobe here to customers is somewhat questionable.

I know you engage here with occasional 'light at the end of the tunnel' comments, but how onboard is your team with actually putting the old line tool back and can you not give some more accurate timeframe?

@mark_dahm What the hell are you "WORKING ON" for 4 months?

Sounds like you are not bringing back the 100% perfect old tool BUT creating some sort of new frankenstein of a tool which will raise even more unexpected problems.

Please don't touch the original tool. Bring it back exactly as it was. How hard is this common request to understand?

I'm pretty certain when you get the linetool "update" done it will just be broken in some new stupid way.

4 months? Like really?

Adobe = JOKE (and not even a good one)

It should have NEVER shipped with this level of broken functionality!!!  And based on the tenor of this thread, I can anticipate problems this fundamental will appear again.
