P: Photoshop 26.2 adjustment layers grayed out on cmyk file.

As subject states there are several adjustment layers that no longer work on 26.2 and beta.

Made a new file - CMYK 8bit filled a layer with color, attempted to apply adjustment layer and it is greyed out. Curves, hue saturation and maybe more.

I went back to 25.12 and it works as it should with no issues.

Windows 11.

ok, that's my fault, I tried adjustment layers for RGB images, that are OK, but CMYK and BW are still not fixed

This is weird. This is the second time in a short time that an update comes up with the same version number already installed. I already had 26.2, and got an update to 26.2. It finished in about 4 seconds, so clearly didn't do anything.

Anyway, nothing has changed and the bug is still there.

Look again at what has been marked as correct answers:

well, today's update did repair bug... unfortunately it is fixed only partially...

some adjustments layers are still not available with Palette menu, but only in main menu (for example Exposure or Posterize in BW mode)

With the new update on the layers pallette the curves adjustment layer is greyed out. ....unavailable.

You have to use the menu adjustment layer to use it.

...annoying if you do color correction for a living.

@doug36558401od39 can you share some screenshots of your workspace making sure to show the layers panel and the adjustment layer option grayed out?

¿Porqué se desactivan estos ajustes de capa (curvas, exposición y tono-saturación) cuando estoy trabajando en nuevo documento?

it depends on the Document color mode ( image -> mode ), all adjustments effects are availabel in RGB, However if you are in CMYK or Grayscale color mode some adjustments will not be availbe.
