Just installed CC 2018 on 2 fresh new computers, and everything works fine except for png image sequence export. When we try it just says "Could not complete the Render Video command because of a program error". Any idea why?

I was saving as png just fine yesterday. This morning it no longer is an option in my dropdown list. I haven't changed any settings in months.
What I have tries so far...
1. I removed the preferences file to my desktop and let photoshop create a new one - Did not resolve problem
2. I updated photoshop through the creative cloud. - Did not resolve problem.
3. I have tried older files that I know saved as png yesterday. Now no longer can save as png.
I have a major project due by Friday and need these images as png

Thanks for the screenshot, however it's describing a different behavior from what this thread is about. Are you getting the same program error? What happens when the progress bar finishes?

Can you confirm that the 19.1 update installed properly?

Hey Everyone!

I am happy to announce that this issue should be resolved in the release of Photoshop that just went live, 19.1. Please open your Creative Cloud desktop app, update Photoshop and try it out!

Thank you,
Hannah

Hi Loek,

19.1 will be a feature release, so there will be new functionality in addition to fixes such as this one. We will announce the new features when 19.1 goes live, in addition to announcing bug fixes on their threads.

Hi Hannah,
With a next release do you mean a full on release (like CC 2018) or just a patch?
I tried switching back to cc 2017, but for some reason the timeline in that one plays really slowly. So currently I'm using cc 2018 and every time I need to export a sequence I switch back to cc 2015. I could use only CC 2015, but then I'm missing out on the new features released since then.

Being a publicly traded company we cannot share timelines, but if you look at the general pace between releases, that should give you a good idea of how long it will be until the next release.

If this issue is affecting your workflow and you want a fix immediately, the easiest solution for the time being would probably be to install a previous version. If you have actions and presets, you'll want to save a copy of that folder (here's a screen shot of where they are on my Mac), but you can find them here:

Detailed instructions are here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

Actually installing a previous version takes very little time. Open the Creative Cloud desktop application and follow the images below:

Detailed instructions are here (scroll down to "install previous version of apps"): https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/download-install-app.html

Thanks,
Hannah

Can you confirm the release of the new update? It would be helpful to calm a client down.
