MacOS Sequoia 15

Photoshop 2024 and Photoshop (Beta)

Top menu not working after opening camera raw filter from Photoshop, making an edit and going back to Photoshop.

Steps to reproduce
Open an image in Photoshop, make edits as usual

Select Filter > Camera Raw Filter

Make an edit, like adding a Vignette
Click OK to go back to image
Click on any item in the top menu - nothing is clickable

Must force quit application and reopen for menu items to be clickable again

I am also having the same issue but here's what I have noticed: If you open a CR2 file without making any changes in the camera raw section, everything works as expected. If you make any changes, no menubar. If you use Liquify (as another user reported), no menubar. Behavior continues until a restart of Photoshop.

I would attach a file with my System Info but apparently, no text file file types are supported here. (tried pdf, txt, docx and rtf - all cause "not supported" error)

I am having the same problems as @Patty248993045taj with Photoshop Top menu not working after opening camera raw filter from Photoshop, making an edit and going back to Photoshop after Updating 2025 last week.

Very frustrating and made me look incompetent infront of a client.

Do we have any news of fix please @Sameer K

A weird issue just popped up on one of my computers. The Menu Bar at top is completely non functional. If you click on File, Image, Edit, Layer, Etc. nothing happens. The menus do not drop down.

This error does not occur immediately after the launch of PS25. They function normally then. But if I open a file, the issue is immediately triggered.

I am running Photoshop 26.0.0 and ACR 17.0. And Sonoma 14.7.

I have tried completely uninstalling Photoshop and reinstalling it with no change.

Any ideas?

Of course, immediately after I post this the problem cleared up. It had been present for days. Not sure why it went away now.

If anyone knows what might have happened, I'm curious.

I've been running PS 2025 for about a week. When opening RAW files in ACR it  disables the top row of drop down menu's. It only does it with RAW files and ACR. Once I make my edits in ACR and open the file, the top row menu's are disabled. To quit I have to do a Command Q. I'm running it on a MacBook Pro, OS-Sonoma, 16 gb ram. Any ideas on resolution?

Do you mean the Photoshop menus? And ACR is by then closed again? That was a bit unclear.

If that's it, haven't seen that here. But that's on Windows. It sounds like some ACR process is still running.

Yes photoshop menus are disabled after ACR is closed.

very frustrating by having to save and restart again.

I have the same problem, plus, it also happens if I use the liquify filter.

I've tried ALL the suggestions multiple times and ways and still no joy. This only began after I installed Sequoia 15 and I have a lot of work to do. Guess I'll be downdrading my OS until Adobe finishes testing OS15.

I have had an issue where I can edit one group of images after opening the app for the first time in the day (while being able to use the window toolbar, including File, Edit, Image, etc.). Then, after I export those images and close the app using the top left close button (red on Mac; I do not save my CR3s after editing and exporting, as I delete them) and reopen the app for the next batch, the window toolbar becomes blurry and no drop down menu appears when hovering or clicking anything on the said toolbar.

This issue corrects itself only if I force quit the app then reopen it. But this issue has not happened prior to this week. I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, but the issue remained, leading me to assume this is a Photoshop bug. My efficiency is at 100%. This does not happen with other apps, Adobe or otherwise. Attached is a screenshot of the toolbar when it is unable to be clicked. All Photoshop functions outside of the toolbar still work when this happens.

I am on the 26.0 release and Mac OS Sanoma 14.5.

Hey @antonio_2618, can you share a video of the issue and your system info? You can find this by going to Help > System Info copying and pasting into a text file and attaching it here.

Did this happen in a previous version?  ^CM

Alas, V25.11 shows the same bugs after a while. Will check if Lumigraphics advice may help ...

I have tried many things to solve the issue vs Camera raw vs last update of PS vs OS Sequoia and can confirm as said by PattyBuch that the only way so far is using V25.11. Hope this will last until Adobe makes its job and provide an update working for everyone including non expert like me ...
