I edited a dozen JPEGs today in PS CC 2015 with star ratings added in Bridge, then saved to the same file, and saved to new files -- all retained their star rating. The only time I lost the ratings was when using SaveForWeb with no metadata preserved.

So there is some other, non-default factor involved on your systems that show this issue. But other than Bridge not writing out metadata, or opening files in ACR, I don't know what that factor might be.

When I save any labelled or rated image files, the ratings an/or labels are instantly removed. Please, let me know if there is a work around or a fix, as I use labels and ratings all the time.

Do you have Bridge set to write metadata into the file, or keep it in the Bridge database?
- I don't know. I did not change any settings from the previous version. Where do i find the settings for how Bridge works with metadata?

Do you have Photoshop set to open JPEG files with ACR?
- No - I never use ACR.

SFW is expected, since by default it removes all metadata.
But I haven't been able to reproduce the problem.

Confirmed, opened a file with star rating and label from Bridge. Save As, SFW, Export, and Save all removed both rating and label.

Chris - I'll chime in - for me this started happening when I updated to PS CC 2015 - version 20150529.r.88. x64. Bridge is version 6.1.1.10 x64

Yes, please fix this. Saved JPG are not retaining their ratings.
