P: Saving copy not saving over jpg file

Happy to help, I'm tired of this bug as well. Clearly we need to do something else since complaining here is pointless.

Does anyone know how to start an online petition?
If we had a bunch of Photoshop users on a petition it seems that would be a newsworthy story.  Not to jump ahead, once something like that gets in the media, large companies usually pay attention.

Is there anyone who has online petition experience?
Hugely appreciated if you can please get us started!

I neglected this by uploading an incorrect file in the contest and as part of a qualification panel - it needs to be fixed now.

I guess not. Maybe we need to write about this bug somewhere else? I have not seen any response or acknowledgment from employees. Are they ignoring, or purposely not wanting to acknowledge this is a glitch or problem? It's been about a year now, no?

It is troublesome to have to make sure the files I send to a client are the correct ones. That I'm not sending an old version of the file... like every few files every day.

In case Photoshop programmers don't know what the workflow is like. A client will ask me to update the tiff and jpg of every file. Then I fix the psd layered file and save replace all the tiffs and jpgs. Or so, that was the way it used to be. Now I have a a bunch of files with " copy" added to these files where I have to delete the v1's and batch rename or individually rename tiffs and jpgs to replace the files on the server, several times a day! This really needs to be fixed. I have no issues with any other program replacing files.
