P: Saving copy not saving over jpg file

If this is done by Adobe on purpose, then they need to give themselves an uppercut. It's causing all sorts of problems in my workplace by NOT overwriting the existing jpeg, even though the pop-up window says "xx.jpg" already exists. Do you want to replace it? I click "replace" but it doesn't replace it. Instead, adding another jpeg in the same location with "copy" added, leaving the original jpeg untouched. This affects InDesign docs where the jpeg is linked, as they are still linking to the old jpeg, not the updated, renamed "copy" version. This has resulted in incorrect artwork being dispatched. Please admit you messed up and fix it fast.

Having the same problem too. I hope Adobe fix several issues on Catalina OS that affects our daily workflow. 

I hate it when computers want to "help" protect me from "human errors". It's the Microsoft paperclip and autocorrect allover. Might work for some people, but we should be able to turn it of, in a natural workflow.

Pourquoi, ne corrigez-vous pas cette boite de dialogue qui ne fonctionne plus depuis quelques temps déjà, les mots copie + son incrément ne s'ajoutent plus au nom de fichier si le fichier existe déjà et que la case devant "En tant que copie" est cochée, c'est vraiment une erreur pénalisante.

Cette erreur est présente depuis des mois et des versions de PS !!!

1. Les commandes Enregistrer sous... et Enregistrer sont des commandes réservées aux documents originaux. il est donc normal quand on crée un nouveau document de l'enregistrer sous *.psd ou *.tiff formats qui vont conserver toute l'architecture des calques de PS.

2. Les autre formats tels que .jpg ou . png etc... ne conservent pas l'architecture du document tels que travailler dans PS, donc sont à considérer comme des document livrables ou exportés.

Personnellement les document originaux, je conserve le non-destructif et les exportations je les fait au format souhaité pour par le client, je ne vais pas leur donner toutes mes recètes de cuisine et donc j'utilise, à partir de mon original, Exporter... qui me permet très simplement de paramétrer facilement les caractéristiques du fichier livré.

Je ne pense pas qu'il faille avoir bac plus 10 pour comprendre cette façon de travailler et permet surtout de ne pas écraser trop facilement nos fichiers !

YES!!! Please fix this ASAP! This means that if I want to make an update then I have to save, navigate to the appropriate folder, double check that I am deleting the right one, then delete, then rename the other one. And I have to do this EVERY TIME I need to resave my JPEG. It is ridiculous.
