P: Stuck at Initializing Video Export

After upgrading to 19.5.1, this issue still persists. I am rendering 175 frames into a video and the Initializing Video Export progress bar gets about 80% across and stalls. The program is unresponsive after that.

Hello, I have this issue, it seems to have just started for me after upgrading PhotoshopCC to v20.0.6
I try to export a video (an image sequence) using the Render Video button at the bottom left. The "Initializing Video Export" progress bar goes to 100% and stays there, I let it run overnight.

Please advise.
Thanks,
Michael

Hi Hannah,

I updated my PS version as you suggested. After restarting my PC and opening Photoshop,  I am still having the issue when loading an MP4  video or a PSD file with a video component.

When importing a video I am getting the  : "Initializing Video Export" message and gets stuck at 80%

When opening a PSD document with a video component I am getting the : "Preparing Smart Object" message and gets stuck at 10%

Please help. Thanks.

Hi Everyone,

The primary cause of this issue has been addressed in the newest release of Photoshop, which is now available for download. Please open your Creative Cloud app, upgrade Photoshop and try your video render again. We would appreciate your feedback.

Thank you!

Hi Marcus,

Sorry you're having trouble. The folder where you find the file is irrelevant. You're looking for a null copy of Trace Database.txt anywhere on your system -- the files I mentioned are just suggestions as to where to look, so basically look in ALL subfolders, regardless of the version.

Another possibility is a zombie process is preventing your render. If you close Photoshop and pull up the activity monitor and see a copy of dynamiclinkmanager running, end that task.

Either of those workarounds should get video running for you again, but if they don't email me and we can set up a screen share.

Thanks,
Hannah

Hi Hannah,
I've got these same issues continuing after looking at the workaround. Oddly neither of the the 2 library files you highlighted were v10.0. One was 6 the other 8... Please can you help?
Thanks
Marcus

I am having the same problem. I only have 15 layers and it gets stuck at around 80%. It worked fine in Photoshop CC 2017, but the same exact thing that the OP said is happening to me in Photoshop CC 2018

Hi Dave,

May I take a look at your machine? I sent you an email to see if we could set up a screen share.

Thanks!
