P: Using Wacom Cintiq pro pen in Liquify will crash Photoshop every time

I have a problem the last few months with using the Wacom pen in Liquify. After I applied the Liquify effect, Photoshop starts being unusable so I have to save my docs and restart. It is worth noting the previous version of Ps worked perfectly. I don't understand why Adobe developers always fix one thing while destroying another thing. If this was the only bug I experienced, it wouldn't be so bad, but I can start counting the bugs in the new releases. As a heavy user, I can't ignore it.

Also @frafilipo art Can you update to 22.1.1 which came out this week and let me know if it still occurs in that release (in addition to the info requested in my last post)?  Thanks!

Thanks @frafilipo art We're still having trouble reproducing the issue.  Could you attach your System Info; from within Photoshop, go to Help > System Info... (copy and paste that here or into a text file and attach it).

Also, could you provide steps you take to get the crash (including size of image you're using; ex. 3000px by 2400px @11363214, 16-bit, RGB).

Thanks!

I don't have problems specifically with smart objects. I tried using the Wacom pen and liquify with the raster layer and it still leads to problems. While using the mouse instead of the pen, I don't have problems, also no problems with the previous version of photoshop.

We have 2 bugs we are fixing;

1. Updating Smart Object breaks liquify,

2. Liquify + Guides = Disk Error

Do either of those sound like what you are running into?

Sorry, I don't think I understand. How can I hold the alt key while selecting the liquify from the menu? That is not possible, goes out of the menu if I hold alt key.

I found the crash log your submitted. I will need an engineer to look at it.

If you hold down the Option/Alt key when you select the Liquify command, do you still see a crash?
