P: Vector shapes with gradients do weird things when you hit 'X'

Photoshop CC 2015: When a vector shape has a gradient fill applied to it, selecting that layer and hitting the X key does weird things. It changes the gradient to some other gradient that you had previously applied (even if it was in another file on a different day), and adds a bunch of extraneous steps to the History palette. Here is a video:

I'm running Photoshop CC 2015.1.1 on Mac OS 10.10.5.

I was able to finally figure out steps to consistently reproduce. Logged an issue for the eng team. Thanks!

Another customer is reporting this on Twitter. I was never able to reproduce it. Are you still having this issue in CC 2017? Do either of you have consistent, reproducible steps to reproduce?

I can reproduce it!

If you leave it as the default black to white gradient, it doesn't happen. But if you change the colors, it does. At least for me.

I'm wondering if there is an extension panel or automation plugin in the mix...

Wow. That is a strange one. I'm trying to report this but with no luck.

Kris, if we can narrow it down more to a set of step that reproduce it 100% of the time we should be able to fix it.

Select second option "text file" and choose location for text file in preferences.
