P: Vector tool Gradient Fill angle stuck at 0 degrees on MacOS 10.10 Yosemite

Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 Release. I'm having an issue where any new gradient I create defaults to 0o angle, and cannot be changed. I've tried restarting the computer, restarting Photoshop, purging all cache, and changing graphics settings. Nada.

Steps to reproduce:
• File > New
• 500x500px @ 72ppi, RGB 8 bit with Square pixels
• Select Rectangle tool, draw a box shape on-screen
• In options bar at the top, change fill type to gradient
• Gradient defaults to 0o. Any attempts to change result in the angle immediately resetting back to 0o.
• Attempt to double-click thumbnail preview in layers panel to bring up gradient modal. Changing angle here also does nothing.

This is an issue I've noticed intermittently since CS6. It's not always reproducible, and sometimes the issue goes away on its own.

I work one block away from the Adobe office in SF, happy to come in with my computer to show this in person.

Which specific version of Photoshop are you using? (check help->system info)

I have the same problem, when I click and drag the angle wheel it snaps back to 1, and when I type a number in the the angle field it says,

"An integer between 0 and 1 is required. Closest value inserted."

That would be awesome IF it remains permanent. Because flushing down my settings every time the gradient issue comes back will prove terrible!

Thx though :)

Could you please be so kind and give us some feedback if this solution is permanent?

Thanks!

"Solved" is a stretch since I had to give up all my settings, but yes. I wonder how permanent a solution this is.

OK, still weird, and I can't explain it - but glad to hear that you solved it.

Just for giggles, I trashed the "Adobe" folder in ~/Library/Application Support/ and all preferences in ~/Library/Preferences/ and that fixed the issue. 😕😕

I was able to reproduce!

Oliver mentioned converting from a live shape to a regular vector shape the issue resolves itself, and I can confirm! I unfortunately did not capture this in the video.

Live shape + Gradient fill = SOMETIMES unhappy Photoshop. Unsure of what causes the problem to start happening, or why it stops. Restarting Photoshop and restarting the computer doesn't seem to work.

Hey there, I've got the same problem (latest PS CC 2014.2.2) and latest OSX Yosemite.

Intersting fact: The problem only occurs with Live Shapes. After changing the shape to a regular vector shape it all works as it should. (See the following screen capture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ml9sfgjfw27...)

Still it sucks big time. ;)
