P: Why was auto-complete in File Info removed from the latest (2014) version?

When using the File Info section of the previous version of PS CC prior to the newest 2014 version, I could simply type in the first one or two letters of any of the fields and the program would auto-fill (or suggest) the rest of the text for that field. With the newest (2014) version of PS CC it isn't doing that...and I'm told this feature was no longer included in the newest version. To me that's ridiculous that they removed this feature, as it saved me a ton of time. Is there any way that we can request that this auto-complete feature be reinstated into the newest version?

    Hoping I'm joining a chorus of users asking for this... (heh ok, I know...) - but I'd REALLY like Photoshop CC to bring the auto-complete back to the IPTC form. We submit a lot of images to the AP and it's soooo much better when you just type in the first letter and hit enter to autofill the field, rather than having to type each field, each time.

    Mathew said it, "Id use photo mechanic" Adobe really need to get a handle on IPTC and file info in general, I don't think they realise what an important part of PS this should be 😞

    When shooting sports, I rely on hitting the first letter of my name in 'author' and then tab to 'description' to cutline by doing a simple name/action replace while keeping the core of my information unchanged.

    I have noticed that in 2014, this is not an option -- there is no auto-fill when typing the same letter as a previously used name/phrase in file info. Is there a way to fix this so it works moving forward? I prefer that method to a batch file info change with templates or an action. I'd do this in Photo Mechanic before the import, but my outlet doesn't use it.

    Auto completion needs to be added back to PS! When entering metadata in the fields in File Info it really would speed up the tedious process. Please bring this back (along with spell check please).

    We need this feature. Agree with Dennis. There are things I need to repeat in ever photo that I send to the newspaper. Auto fill was a great feature. Templates do a lot but the auto fill saved a lot of time and avoided mistakes.

    I agree. I use it for my newspaper photos and I now have to copy/paste info and captions, wasting more time than I care to. I don't know why it was changed in the first place.
