photoshop app will not open on my imac

All the sudden last week I could not log in to Photoshop 2026 desktop. First I was prompted to login which is weird then when I did the login panel kept looping every time I log in prompted to log in again. Contacted support then uninstalled both PS and Creative Cloud and reinstalled as per their instruction no change. I asked if they had some sort of outtage and was told yes ad then the support chat dropped. Re-engaged support was transferred to a tech support advisor gave them permission to remote access my computer then the support dropped off and never heard from them again. Now I’m waiting for Monday to try again. Can’t log into PS 2025 either and the web version won’t let me do andyhing with the Photoshop template I need for printing labels. meh :/

Adding to what J E L said, if Ps is opening in your browser, that’s Photoshop for Web. You want Photoshop for desktop. Try launching it from the CC app or from your Applications folder.

Also double-check to see which Photography plan you purchased. If you purchased the Lr plan, it includes Ps for Web, but not Ps for desktop. Details here:

Hi ​@Angelic_Genie40c1, are you first launching the Creative Cloud Desktop app and then trying to open Photoshop? Or are you trying to launch from a Photoshop shortcut or image file? Please also confirm which Photoshop subscription you have.
