Photoshop crashing when typing dash and pressing enter

Whenever I type a dash (-), and press enter within a text box, the Photoshop app instantly crashes - and I need force close, without saving my progress.

    Is this happening only at the start of a line, or anywhere?

    I’m wondering if Auto bulleting is behind it?

    Disable it in Preferences > Type and restart Photoshop.

    Does it happen with both number pad (if you have one) and main keyboard?

    What Photoshop version are you using?  We used to have to set the Text Engine in Preferences but it is automatic now.  This is in Preferences > Type:

    If you are using an old version, then try changing it (same place in Preferences).

    I think resetting Preferences will clear the font cache, so try that.

    Thanks for your reply Trevor.

    Disabling auto-bulleting seems to have fixed it.

    Strange, as it’s only happening after I’ve started typing some text, then returned to the start of the line and typing a dash followed by a spacebar. It doesn’t happen when starting a new line with a dash. Must be an odd glitch.

    Thanks for your help! All the best.

    @IS24

    I think you’ve incorrectly posted this in the Stock buyers forum, which has nothing to do with Photoshop.

    Please repost in the Photoshop forum below, where the experts there can help you.

    Thanks & good luck.
