Photoshop Elements 2025 repeated preference corruption

My Adobe Photoshop Elements has suddenly developed an issue in which any change to my preferences causes some kind of corruption that blocks me from using Quick Mode to edit files. If I delete the Preferences file, I can use Quick Mode > Color > Saturation / Hue / Vibrance to apply adjustments. As soon as I change a setting, I lose the ability to click on the adjustment selection to apply the adjustment.

Moderators, @Mohit Goyal,  please move this to:  Photoshop Elements | Adobe DME

    My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 9 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

Maybe a more thorough reset of the Photoshop Elements 2025 preferences is in order.

I suggest going to Macintosh HD/Users/UserName/Library/Preferences

    and trashing the

Adobe Photoshop Elements 25 Settings folder

    and also trashing the

    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist

In addition go to Apple>System Settings>Privacy & Security>Full Disk Access and add the

    Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor.app

    in

    Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 2025/Support Files

to the list if it’s not already there.

The User Library is hidden by default, so to see it follow these instructions:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html

This is on a Macbook Neo, and the program was functioning fine previously.

Instead of applying the adjustment, the selection menu just collapses back to its initial state before I navigated to Color > Saturation (etc.).

Sorry, never used Elements, but just to say that’s a cool avatar.  Did you draw it or generate it?  Mines a combination of two Firefly generations and some hand finishing.
