Thanks for including information about using Premiere v26.2.2 on a M2 Mac and saw you’ve already tried to clear cache and preferences. That type of exception error can usually involve GPU runtime.

I see you’re using Tahoe 26.2. Are you able to update to the latest Tahoe 26.5.1 to see if that helps?

You could also try going under Premiere > Settings > Media and uncheck the box for Enable hardware accelerated decoding and report back.

To clarify, you’re having this issue now occur even in fresh Premiere projects, no footage? Otherwise, I was wondering if you try importing a project with issues into a new one, if you still have this issue?
