Adobe Premiere damaged the original videos and left them 0kb

I was editing a project in Adobe Premiere with 5 videos, at the end of the day I saved it and turned off the PC, to my surprise the next day only the files used in Adobe Premiere were at 0kb. I lost an important project, I could have made a backup of course, but because I was in a hurry and had never seen this bug I didn't do it.

Hello, Premiere damaged the original videos that were used in the project. I'm certain that Premiere is related to the issue because the only video I didn't use in Premiere was not damaged.

Confirming: You're saying that PPro deleted the contents of your 5 media files, but did not delete the files themselves? Or did you mean that the .prproj file was 0kb?

Hi @Ricardo388988136aod,

Welcome to the Premiere Pro forums. Really sorry you're experiencing issues. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue. Please see, How do I write a bug report?

Where were these files saved? Was it in your local drive, an external hard drive? What do the folder structures for your media and project look like?

To clarify, are you saying the actual source media used is now at 0 KB? Are you able to open these files or the project at all, and what happens if you try to relink? Can you provide any screenshots of the files or of their info if you can still see them on your computer?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani
