Adobe Premiere Update 23.4 Crashes at Start Up

Removing Blackmagic Desktop video fixed mine!!!

Bruski, most people arent having problems like that. You're going to have to give more info on your setup, hardware and software. Any overclocks on your rig? Running any HUD software? Odd things like that? Did you clear your cache, reset preferences, etc... Your should start your own thread.

Not sure if this will get seen in this thread but it's been since May 2023 and I still can't run any Premiere version newere than v23.3  I've tried all updates individually 23.4 through 24.1 and all versions newere than 23.3 still crash at launch.  I'm running windows 10 fully updated and my nvidia card is fully updated as well. I do not have any black magic installed.  I've clicked send crash reports on each crash, ran the adobe diagnostic after each craash and no joy.  My premiere just reneewd in Decemeber 2023 and automatically charged my credit card so I'm not sure how I feel about this non working situation while I'm still paying money for the creative cloud subscription. 😞

The Blackmagic Design Desktop Video update solved this issue for me. Thank you! I was pulling my hair out.

I finally found the solution (for me at least). I just updated my "Blackmagic video desktop" software. That was the problem, so you know. Thx jstrawn

jstrawn....this was the fix I needed! I was very frustrated on this issue and once I updated the Desktop video to 12.4, everything went back to working as normal on my Windows machine. Thank you!

Same here. Crashes on startup. Mac OS 11.7.6. Tried the Beta Diagnostics and removed Prefs. Now it won't open at all.

this is amazing!  I am so happy with these changes.. and "Mirror OS Directory on import" is my favorite thing in the world!!! thank you.

@erono6468563 I took a look at your crash logs. They are consistent with a known Team Projects problem and should be fixed in 23.5. That release should be out soon, and if you don't want to wait you can always install the latest beta build, which can co-exist with public versions.
