after a certain amount of time, my premiere pro stops me using the timeline scroll, selecting multiple channels and also shortening/lengthening a clip via dragging. Makes it practically unusable at times! Please help

I used to think it was harddrive related but i started new projects without it connect to the harddrive and it’s still happening.

It also doesn;t allow me to move the motion effect from left to right or up to down either, making edits VERY difficult

    Hi,

Can you please tell more details:

    1. Build No that you are on
    2. System details - machine, macOS etc.
    3. Are you seeing this for first time in some build or this was always the case ?
    4. Memory snapshop(usage) of the system when this happens.

    Thanks

    Abhinav

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have had it on both PR 2026 and 2025, using MacOS
It started off doing it it occasionally and has since progressed getting worse and worse.

My macbook has over 100gb free of storage, with it using 44.77 gb of data at the time
