Any Effects or Changes causes Premiere to Freeze

Hey there, So I'm up to date with the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro, and am baffled by this project.

Any effects I add, or any changes to effects, cause Premiere to completely freeze for about a minute to 5 minutes before I can make any more edits.

I've tried resetting my workspace, setting audio input to none, Clearing Cache, restarting, changing OpenCL to CUDA to Software. Nothing has worked.

I'm working with 2K footage, all proxied in quarters. Nothing is working. I've checked my GPU, CPU, RAM, Disk space, and none of them are being highly used up.

I'm just so confused, any help would be amazing.

PC specs for reference.
GPU NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3070 Ti

CPU Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor
96 GB Ram

With your specs, that kind of freezing points to a corrupt project or plugin. Try to import your project into a new one, and also disable hardware-accelerated decoding under preferences > media.

Hi, So I have no plugins. Or at the very least haven't installed any new plugins within the past 3 Months or more.

I'm on v25.2.3

Hello @colten_7973,

Welcome, and thanks for submitting your bug report. A few other users are reporting similar issues, and we are looking into this. Are the effects you're adding Adobe effects or imported ones? Can you specify exactly which version of Premiere you're using? We need a few more details to help with the issue, especially steps to reproduce it.  Please see: How do I write a bug report?Sorry for the frustration, and thanks for reaching out. I hope we can find a solution soon.
