Audio delay and timeline glitch at the first second

Whenever I play the timeline, the blue marker will automatically jump a frame, then the audio would be delayed and wont match the pace of the video. Ive tried turning off the input in audio hardware and even clearing cache but nothing's working. My playback is also set to 1/8 already. This issue came out of nowhere.

I am using a mac so I cant change the GPU renderer as well.

I need help please.

Hi @Kassandra1913 - It appears you are experiencing this issue P: Premiere Pro 24 issue with the GPU on Macbooks Video Preview

Users have reported upgrading to Sequoia 15.5 or later has resolved their issue.

  • Issue My blue timeline indicator seems to be glitching. Whenever I drag and stop the indicator, my screen becomes pixelated and goes black. This is making it nearly impossible to edit my graphics. My effects are also causing my timeline to be pixelated at the respective timeframes (i.e. Video Transitions>Cross Dissolve). When I export my project, my Adobe Stock graphics are pitch black or pixelated as well. This issue came out of nowhere. I am here to see if this is a global issue. I have tried updating my version of Premiere Pro, and the problem persists.

  • Expected result  The timeline should play without any pixelated graphics and there should be a preview of the timeframe where the blue indicator sits.
  • Actual result  Graphics are not appearing as expected (please review description above).
  • Screen recording – Screen recording provided (attached).
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version – Premiere Pro v25.5
  • Operating system – MacOS 14.6.1 (23G93)
  • GPU driver version (Windows only) – N/A
  • Video format – H.264 | MatchSource-Adaptive High Bitrate | 1920x1080 (1.0) | 30 fps | REC 709 | Progressive
  • Comparative information helps us understand more about when the issue occurs:
    • Does it affect all projects, new projects, or only some projects? Ive only tried with an existing project.
    • When did the problem begin? Today
