Audio Gain Issue

In Premiere Team Projects, and at this point I believe even in normal projects, the Audio Gain (G key) works once and then stops working. I have to restart the project, repeat the operation, and it works again—obviously only once after each restart!

I hope I'm not the only one who's had this problem!

Can anyone give me a solution?

If not, Adobe, please fix this ASAP!

Let me explain.

I work for a TV company and often deal with files or interviews that have different volumes.

Journalists often have different volumes when recording speeches.

I need to adjust the gain or volume with the gain that gives me the most range in terms of volume. The usual process is as follows:

- I create a team project and invite other colleagues.

- I import the files.

I can adjust the gain directly in the file in the timeline or in the project window by selecting the file, pressing the G key, right-clicking, and selecting Gain.

The cases when it doesn't work are:

- when a project has been open for a while and I've worked on several files.

- when the above method doesn't work, I have to close and reopen the project. In this case, it works immediately, but as soon as I play to check, and maybe have to adjust the gain again, it stops working again and I go crazy...

This happens almost all the time.

- The installed version of Premiere is the latest available, but the problem persisted even with versions from a year ago.

- The video and sound card drivers are up to date.

- Win 11 Pro OS latest update

Hi @Paolo35331130q18w -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How to Report a Problem.

When you say stops working what do you mean?  Are you seeing the waveforms not changing or something else?

Sorry for the frustration.

Is this only in one project or on all projects?

Have you dumped all cach files ... if not, close, then launch while holding the Shift key down. Select remove all cache files.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
