Audio trim issue left clip

I’ve never noticed this before, and I am following the same edit technique for 20 years.  My workaround is to only adjust the clip on the right.  I should mention that the clip on the left is using the remix funtion. The remix function (which still needs a litle work) got me close to what I wanted, but didn’t end the track where it needed to end, so I cut the end of the remix track and added the end of the un-remixed track where it needed to be.  I’ve been customizing the ends of my videos like this for as long as the remix function has been offered, but I’ve never had an issue like this before.

Hi @ScottNadeau -   Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.  Please see, How to Report a Problem?

Can you describe what is happening?

Does this still happen if you close all of your third party panels.  I have seen timeline issues from these panels before.

Thanks for the response. I did have a few new extensions installed; I think that was causing the issue. Removing those did seem to do the trick. They sucked anyway and were anoying.

Here were the steps I took.

    1. I have a music clip on my timeline.
    2. I used the remix function on the piece of music.
    3. The song was too long, but I found a cut point where I could add an ending.
    4. I cut the clip at the edit point.
    5. I then found the ending I wanted on the clip that remained (on the right) on the sequence.
    6. I butted up the two clips by dragging the clip on the right right up to the clip on the left.
    7. The mix wasn’t seamless.
    8. I then grabbed the outpoint of the clip on the left, trimmed it back and let go of the mouse.
    9. Then, grabbing the end of the left clip again, I dragged it to the right, hoping to snap the clip to the edge of the clip on the right. (Snap is enabled)
    10. Instead of snapping, I am able to drag the clip over the clip on the right, which would normally set the edit point where I stop dragging.
    11. When I let go of the dragged clip, the edit point snapped back visually to the right clip, but the actual audio edit is heard where I dropped the clip.

Ideally, I would either see the visual clip end where I dropped it, or I would see and hear the clip at the snapped position.
