There are still issues with generating waveforms in the timeline/source window. "Generate Audio Waveform" in the clip menu does literally nothing, mayhe that option is just there for ornamental purposes?

This has been a problem for years and you have to finally fix it. What ia going on??

Large chunks of the audio waveforms are often missing. This has been the cast for years across and I've experienced onac and PC. I can't tell you how to reproduce it; I don't know why it doesn't work.
