Audio Waveform Generation bug

With the latest 25.2.3 (Build 4) version of Premiere, again the Waveform bug has re-appeared.

Waveform generation starts, but then if you delete the media from your project, rather than Premiere stopping the waveform generation for that particular file, it just freezes at the point the waveform generation had got up to, and won't progress any further.

It will stay like this forever, unless Premiere is closed and then re-started.

Can this please be fixed again?

This is just getting pathetic. It's such a basic thing that they have never managed to get right. Embarrassing.

Hi @Craig316519731au1 ,

Thanks for posting your issue! Does this mean that waveform generation for media B is stopped if you delete media A from the project? It sounds like it will finish once you relaunch Premiere Pro and re-open the project - or did you end up with incomplete/missing waveforms afterward? Would it be possible to post a screen recording and/or screenshot showing the problem?

Thank you very much,

Volker
