Cannot Create Captions From Transcription

Yes, it's a very large download.

You can download the language pack before doing the transcription:

It should show you the progress for just the language pack.

Yes @Stan Jones  you are right. Beginning language pack download.

My connection is 65  Mbps at the moment. And it's the first time when I am doing transcription on this laptop ... 

So it can take longer than 2 hours you think?

Did the message change from "downloading language pack"? That can take quite a while, particularly if you have a slow connection.

Hi @Kerstin Ebert 

Any thoughts please on my bug today? 

I left the caption-transcribe to do its magic for like 2 hours, but still it did not move ... it keeps loading, even if I chose just 3 min. of video. 

Or is telling me that there is no dialog in my videos but it is, I have a podcast in there ..

I am using 24.3, and did the tutorial. I experienced no hang or problems. Parts of the tutorial no longer fit changes in the program, but I don't think they have anything to do with the problem you experienced.

Hello, 

I just got Adobe Premiere pro, so I am on the latest version, v24.3 and I have this issue in the tutorial that teaches you how to make caption, part of the social media video tutorial. This is not a good look for Adobe, I have attached a screenshot. Maybe trying the tutorial might help you replicate the bug and solve this issue. The fact is that it stuck on creating captions for 5-6 words at best, is actually quite poor. I am running window 10, latest version.

so you're saying that you stayed on the same version of Premiere Pro and a previously created project fails for caption creation while a brand new project successfully creates captions, is that correct?

Is it possible to share the project where caption creation fails with me? Project file without the media should be sufficient.

When you see that a new project works and a project started in a previous version does not, I suggest the following:

Reset preferences, clear the media cache, create a new project, import the old project into this new one. See this regarding preserving your customizations when you reset preferences:

@Kerstin Ebert, when the issue is caption related, are such steps likely to help? For example, is the cache relevant to captions in a previously created project?

@Kevin-Monahan I was able to make new captions with a new project. However, my current project is unable to create captions.
