Captions are not creating in Adobe 26.3.2

I’ve had this issue in the past with Adobe. It will either not transcribe my content or even allow me to create a static transcript. If it does, it is stuck on “creating captions” for hours with no movement on the bar. This has happened to me already with adobe where it took me re-imaging my work laptop to get it to work only for it to stop after a week. This needs to be resolved quickly. I’ve done cache clearing, reset my scratch disks, updated and used older versions of adobe and this is still a problem. No other coworker or users have had this issue. I’ve spoken to community managers and sent them files and it’s had no problems. So this has to be a bug issue.

    Hi @kbell33

Thanks for stopping by again to the Premiere forums and providing some details about that caption issue in v26.3.2. In order to better troubleshoot, we need to ask for a few more details like if Mac (and what macOS) or PC (whether Windows 11/10, plus what driver version & build), what version and build of Premiere was Captions last working in, how’s your media stored (NAS/External) with our bug report details.

Thinking more about it, does it affect all projects lately you’ve tried making captions in, or only some? What about new project and importing one to a few clips and testing that?

Do you have any plugins, recent updates to computer or drivers, etc. that started this happening that you can think of? Sounds like you’ve recently done some kind of re-imaging, though I am not sure precisely what exactly caused that.

    Hope to help,
    Katie

This is Windows 11 Enterprise version 25H2 and it was working on 26.0 and media is stored on my desktop. It affects all projects and yes, I’ve tried creating new ones with different media files and it still will not create captions.

There are no plugins or updates done to my computer. I did a re-imaging because that’s truly the only thing IT and I could come up with after going through countless tries of uninstalling adobe completely, different versions of Premiere, etc. I have other colleagues who are experiencing this same issue on windows.

This truly started out of nowhere. The captions worked fine for months and then just stopped. No updates were made. No changes were made to our workflow.
