Computer Crashing while ONLY using Premiere Pro/After Effects

I have run into a pretty concerning bug that causes my entire computer to crash randomly (Event ID:41(63)) while using either Premiere Pro/After Effects. I know it is not a problem with my computer as while running other highly intensive programs such as blender, and even multiple at a time, I do not get crashes. Nor does my computer seem to be overheating, as my temperatures (I dont know if it spikes before it crashes or something to be clear) seem to be normal. My drivers are also fully updated. It ONLY happens when using premiere pro/after effects. I am not sure as to which program is causing the issue or if its a mix of both. The steps to replicate it are unclear as everytime it has happened it has been different and unexpected but I believe it has something to do with the fact I use an AMD GPU over a NVIDIA GPU, and I understand support for AMD cards will be lesser, but this is an unacceptable bug.

I am using

Premiere Pro: 25.5

After Effects: 25.5

OS: Windows PC

My most important specs are below:

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x 16 Core

RAM: 32 gb 3000 Mhz (Corsair)

Also my computer runs entirely on Samsung M.2 and SATA ssds.

Hi @NoahJamess - Do you receive a crash dialog box when the crash happens?  Have you tried resetting your After effects settings?

I forgot to mention in my previous reply, but it actually seems to be a problem with after effects, to be more specific.

I have not yet rolled back my drivers, BUT I have an important update.
Whatever is causing this is caused by some setting or preference I had on as turning it on safe mode stopped the issue. (I do not have any plugins installed)

I do not know as to what setting or preference this could've been BUT I hope this helps narrow it down so that the bug can be patched.

Hi @NoahJamess - Have you tried rolling back to 25.9.1?  I do see the release notes mention something about a cleanup utility and codecs that you need to run when installing 25.10.2.  Does this happen in all versions of Premiere Pro?  If you create a new project does this still happen?

hi @jamieclarke

No. My computer is not overclocked, the closest thing I have done is increase my fan speeds to ensure it wasnt an airflow issue, and I only did that after I continously started encountering the bug.

My driver version is 25.10.2

Hi @NoahJamess -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How to Report a Problem.

Is your computer overclocked?

What GPU driver do you have?  You can find the information in device manager > dispays

Sorry for the frustration.
