"DELETE ALL PAUSES" NOT WORKING AFTER UPDATE (HELP)

The “Delete All Pauses” feature in Adobe Premiere Pro is straight up broken for me now.

It used to work perfectly before, but now it doesn't after the update.

I set the pause length to 0.01sec but when I press Delete / Extract / Delete All, it removes some parts but leaves a lot of gaps behind

I’m doing the exact same thing I used to do before, but now it’s not WORKING!!!!

Feels like something changed after the update because this was not an issue at all before.

Is anyone else having this problem ? Can you please help me resolve it?

@othmanehendrix could you share a screenshot of your sequence and transcript before you do a Delete action, and then after where there are still gaps, so I can better understand what you’re seeing?

Hi. After this guy here I checked it and I’m having the same behavior.

The problem is that in version 26.2 the silence removal found in the text panel aka “remove pauses”, started to work weird. It sees pauses where there aren’t any, it misses obvious pauses and offsets them.

Note: I used an absolutely clean voiceover with no room noise and with a distinct speech. I checked it with several voiceovers and the picture was the same - omissions, wrong detections, offsets.  A new project or the current I was working with - no difference. Also there was no difference if the video was a VFR or CFR.

It’s easy to reproduce with any voicover of yours.

The guy in that Reddit topic says he switched back to Pr 26.0 and there’s no issue there. Adobe should investigate this, because silence removal is an essential tool for bloggers and podcast guys.
