Frame.io V4 gets stuck trying to authenticate in browser in Premiere v26.0.0

Frame.io v4 panel opens and I when I select “Get Started” to login into my Frame.io account. It just gets stuck at “Authenticating... Please continue in browser”. It would normally open up my broswer to authenicate, but it is not doing that now. It was working like normal in Premiere 2025 or the previous version. Is anyone else having this problem and is there a solution to this?

    Hi folks,

Sorry for the disruption here, we’re aware of the issue, which seems to occur on upgrade from previous versions of Premiere to Premiere 2026 v26.0.0. Here are some ways to work around it:

    • Go directly to https://accounts.frame.io/welcome?legacy_auth=false&auth_callback=adobe%2Bppro://frameio in your web browser to directly authenticate.
    • Open Premiere 2025 > open the Frame.io V4 panel > click “Browse” tab > click the Account name on the top left > click “Log out”. Then reopen Premiere 2026 and click “Get Started” to log back in.
    • On Mac OS, close Premiere and open Keychain Access. Find and delete `com.adobe.frameio.token`. Reopen Premiere 2026, click “Get Started”.

Please report back if none of these steps work, or contact support@frame.io for further direct assistance. Apologies again for the inconvenience.

using the link above at the right time will get you back in to frameIO. However, Export to frame IO also seems to not be able to title new sequences beyond the first export and will stack new/ different sequences over and over with the same title as the first even if they are not the same. Adobe sure likes to break things.

Also, why couldn’t this problem have been caught sooner. “seems to be a problem upgrading from previous versions” is a weak way of putting the problem off Adobe... as if 99% of people are doing exactly that “upgrading” and not installing new software for the first time. Do you guys even use this software yourselves??? If you did I would think glitches like this would be noticed BEFORE you sent out an update. Garbage and a waste of hours of my workday.

I’m not sure why Frame.io won’t launch when accessed through the Window>Frame.io>Fame.io V4. I get the following windows (see attachments) but my web browser won’t open to login and manually doing it doesn’t work.

The only thing that works is to continue to use the old Frame.io extension but I don’t find it as seamless.

Navigating to the link directly (AFTER clicking “Get Started” within Premiere Pro - this is necessary) seems to have worked for me, and appears to be the temporary solution I’ll use until this bug is fixed. However, the bug persists after doing this - logging out of the Frame.io V4 panel and then trying to log back in results in the same problem and requires me to manually navigate to the link again. It doesn’t seem to be an issue with an external pop-up blocker - clicking the “Learn more about Frame.io” link right below the Get Started button in the Premiere panel works just fine.

Hi @pixelauthor, sorry for the troubles. Can you try the additional steps in the pinned reply? Particularly, explicitly signing out of the whichever previous version of Premiere you were using, then logging in again via the latest version you’re migrating to, should solve this. Let us know if it doesn’t! Thanks for your patience. 🙏

I believe this is now working as expected! (For me at least). I also had this same issue this morning. I tried signing out of my Adobe account (and back in), from those 3 workarounds I tried deleting that Key Chain entry. Neither of these worked, so I did a full reboot of my Mac, and hey presto, at the point of Authenticating from the ‘Get started’ button in the Frame.io panel in Premiere, my Safari DID pop up, and requested a sign in, followed by a floating native Apple Window asking permission to access Adobe Premiere 26.0.0.

Whether or not is was all three of these actions that made it work, or just one of them (I’ll never know), my Frame.io integration is now all up and running.
