Glitched thumbnails for markers and search panel after 25.4 update

Running an M3 Max Macbook Pro running Sequoia 15.5 with an external monitor as well as a Blackmagic Ultrastudio Extreme playing out to a monitor.

After updating to Premiere 25.4 now all thumbnails in the markers panel as well as the search panel are glitched/distorted. Was working fine prior to update. When scrubbing over shots in the search panel hover scrub works fine but then goes back to the glitched image when moving off of it.

Have tried wiping cache, made new markers.

When viewing a bin in icon or freeform view the thumbnails are fine. This is limited to the markers and search panels.

I’m having this issue on Premiere 26.2.2. Fully cleared all media cache files and still seeing this.  The tab is extremely important when it works but now it’s unusable. System specs here:

The thumbnails in the clip gallery are just noise... the clips are not show correctly and are unusable.

Hi @HoehneDesign - We haven’t been able to reproduce this issue, but see it off and on.  Would you be able to provide additional information on your system specs and if you have any third party plugins or panels installed?  When did this happen.  Any information you can provide would be helpful.  Thank You!

Hi Jamie, thanks for your reply. The latest update of Premier Pro Beta (26.3.0 - Build 50), which I installed about a half an hour ago, has fixed the issue… the thumbnails are no longer just noise, but accurate representations of the clips. Thank you.

25.5 (build 13) fixed the issue for me. I am no longer glitching thumbnails in the search window.

Only works on the Macbook Pro screen with no external monitor connected. Makes no difference if it's dragged over there.

Follow-up question @Sam Leinen: Does dragging the Search or Markers panel into the MacBook Pro built-in display fix the thumbnails if you are still connected to the external monitors, or do the thumbnails only work in the built-in display when the external monitors are completely disconnected?

Thanks for testing that out @Sam Leinen and @RogerAtCat.

No worries @Rex Lint, Mercury Transmit let's you play back video and audio on external devices under Preferences > Playback. Do you see the thumbnail issue happening across your three monitors? What macOS version are you on? And just double-checking, you have no Blackmagic devices or connections?

I disabled mercury transmit and it is still happening. Same style glitches.

Interesting that it doesn't happen on the built-in MacBook screen but does when a monitor is connected. I have no choice since I'm on a Mac Studio and I should note that I do not have the Studio Displays.

Roger

I am on a M2 Ulra Mac Studio.  Sorry for my ignorance but I don't know what "transmit" is, so I don't think I'm using it.  I have 3 monitors hooked in, 2 of them USBc, one is an HDMI monitor.
