I am experiencing a persistent issue with the Speech-to-Text / Auto-Transcribe
I am experiencing a persistent issue with the Speech-to-Text / Auto-Transcribe feature in Premiere Pro (v26.3.2 / v27.0). When attempting to transcribe sequence audio (or clip source audio), the generated transcription result yields garbled, repetitive symbols and incomplete character strings (e.g., [—] Y [—] \ \a – [—], De la de– | a – [a – | \b – [de–] ...) instead of proper text transcriptions.
Troubleshooting Steps Already Attempted:
-
Verified and configured language preferences in Creative Cloud Desktop as well as Premiere Pro Preferences (Preferences > Audio & Transcript / Transcription).
-
Confirmed language pack setting is set to Spanish and enabled "Transcribe clips automatically".
-
Verified that the active sequence timeline and audio tracks containing dialog are selected, unmuted, and functioning properly.
-
Triggered "Transcribe Sequence" and "Re-transcribe Sequence" manually via the Text panel's action menu, isolating the active audio track.
-
Tested across multiple project instances and media clips.
Despite these steps, the automatic transcription repeatedly fails to recognize the audio and outputs corrupted symbol strings.
