Laggy Play back but only in certain weird situations

Hi,

On my laptop...

A Razer 15" Advance (2021), 11th Gen Intel Core  I7-11800H, RTX 3070, 32GB of RAM, Windows 11

So i have been having extremely laggy playback on premiere. First and foremost everything is up to date, I have already been in contact with Adobe team and they went through my PC remotely and took out plugins, deleted caches, etc...

Now to the weird parts if it.. this only started to happen when I updated to windows 11,

My playback is extremely laggy and it only happens when im on my battery and with Sony Codec XAVC S - I both 1080P and 4k files, and when Premiere is the main window selected.

If i plug in my laptop, the video plays fine.... If i play an already exported video, it plays fine... If i start to play the laggy video and i open up another window (task manager, webpage, etc) and as long as premiere is not the selected window, it plays fine. If I make proxies for the video, then it plays fine.

To me, it seems like the laptop is struggling with how big the files are, but the thing is... it shouldnt be. My laptop is more than capable. I am a concert/events videographer/photographer and I have been on tour editing on planes with this laptop PRIOR to the windows 11 update and everything was fine... I only updated to Windows 11 about 2 weeks ago.

Furthermore, why are these videos playing just fine when premeire is not the main window selected???

The most simple answer would be to just resort back to windows 10; however, i was hoping to see if there is a solution or someone else may have had this issue before I resort to that and the headaches that come with that.

Hello @James2871319192db,

Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug, and I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?

I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.
