line streaking with lumetri effect w/vignettes on adjustment layer

Lumetri effect on an adjustment layer, converts log to rec709, among a few other color tweaks. It also has a feathered vignette.

The combination of all three (adjustment layer + lumetri + vignette via lumetri) produces a line streak glitch. The glitch appears as you adjust the feathering up or down. Screen recording attached.

The same process, albeit with lumetri on the clip directly (not on an adjustment layer) fixes the issue.

LUT is in basic settings on lumetri. if you look closely it’s actually lines on the bottom and top, 4 lines total “pointing” towards the center.

Funny enough, I tweaked the settings around, until the glitch went away, and now am having problems reproducing the error on my end too.

It is still present on the previous version of my edit though, seen here with the cannoli shell shot.

@videowizard.io Thank you for that update and additional screenshots. Ah yes, that is helpful context. We’ll continue investigating, and do let us know if you have it happen again.

One thing came to mind is to confirm that your adjustment layer setting matches your sequence settings?

Are the lines present when you export, as well? I know you included a screen recording earlier.

We might like to also request the project file and even one clip where this was still happening for you on that edit sequence. You can DM me a link to that, or if you prefer, we can send a Dropbox link to upload that to.

    Thanks!

    Hi @videowizard.io

Welcome back to the Premiere forums, and thank you for including some details about your Lumetri glitch. We did try to recreate this issue but were unable, so we’d like to get some more details on that like computer specs, version/build of Premiere, if Windows what driver, etc. with our bug report details

We also located where in the video the glitch seems to occur. It was difficult at first to tell with the marbled backdrop, but seems to come from the corner and last maybe 2 frames if that. Screenshot with red around those.

When you say converts log to 709, how exactly? Are you doing this with input LUT from Lumetri side, Sequence settings under Color Management, etc.

Thanks for your post and sorry for any frustrations.

    Hope to help,
    Katie
