"Matrix Cannot be Inverted" Error

Project Panels are not showing with version 25.2.3 especially when opening project from old version.

I've tried downgrade to 25.2.1 but same thing happened.
And this time I downgrade to version 24.6.5 and it works!

However, since my latest project was created with 25.2 version, I cannot edit it at all.

Fyi, I need the material from old version project for my latest project.

Now I'm doomed. Please solve this immediately.

I'm having the same issue.

Importing the old project from 2019 into a new project seemed to fix it. However, after saving the project and closing Premiere Pro for the day, I found that reopening the project a different day brought the error back.

Use the template below to provide us with information:

  • Issue – I receive a Matrix cannot be Inverted error in a box on the lower right. I cannot open the Projects panel. When I go to Windows-Projects I get the error. When I try again, I can see a selection of the project. When I try again, I can see two selections of the project. In other words, every time I try, it seems to add a new "version" of the project to the Windows-Projects window, but none of them will work.
  • Steps to reproduce  Open an older project in Premiere Pro and the error will probably occur. If not, go to Windows-Projects.
  • Expected result  I should be able to see the Projects tab and work on all the associated files with the project.
  • Actual result  I get the Matrix Cannot be Inverted Error and the Projects tab never opens. A project name is added to the Windows-Projects menu option every time I try to open the Projects tab, although it is the same name over and over.

Hi @VictoriaGME

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the 25.2.3 update.  Can you tell me what version you were in before 25.2.3?  Are you able to provide the project you are having trouble with?  Can you send a screenshot of what the project panels look like and the error message you're seeing? We need a few more details to help with this issue. Please see: How do I write a bug report?. I hope we can help you soon.
