P: Can't open custom LUT in the Creative section of Lumetri

issue: selecting Browse or Custom in the Creative section of the Lumetri panel is broken.

 

how to replicate the issue: open Lumetri panel, navigate to Creative section, next to Look open the drop down menu and click Browse. For me, this doesn't open up the file explorer window to find my LUT file, it simply loads the SL NOIR TRI-X lut for some reason. Manually selecting other LUTs from the drop down menu, and selecting None all work fine. It's only when selecting Browse or Custom that this happens.

 

version: 25.2.1 build 2 (also happened with the version immediately before this one)

 

OS: windows 10 home Build 19045.5608

Hi everyone,

I’ve been running into a frustrating issue in the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro: I can’t import any custom LUTs.

 

When I choose one of the built‑in presets from the “LUT” dropdown, everything works as expected, but as soon as I click the Browse… button to load a LUT from my own folders, Premiere immediately jumps back to the last built‑in LUT and never actually opens my folder window.

 

This problem only started after I updated to the newest release of Premiere Pro. It makes it impossible for me to finish any color‑grading work on my projects, since I can’t load the custom looks I need.

 

Has anyone else run into this? Is this a known bug in 2025.4 (or whichever the current build is)? Any workarounds or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

Hallo liebe Community,

 

von heute auf morgen hatte ich ein komisches Elebnis beim Color Grading. Ich habe in HLG aufgenommen und die Sequenzeinstellungen dementsprechend angepasst im Farbbereich. Als mein Basic Grading fertig war, wollte ich noch über den Kreativ-Reiter bei Lumetri-Farbe eine LUT draufpacken. Als ich dann auf "Durchsuchen" geklickt habe, wurde auf einmal irgendeine LUT ausgewählt. Das gleiche passierte bei "Einfache Korrektur" unter "Eingabe LUT".

 

Ich habe auch probiert, die LUT auf eine Einstellungsebene zu ziehen, selbes Spiel. Es wurde einfach irgendeine vorinstallierte LUT draufgepackt und ich kann nichts mehr machen.

 

Ich habe Premiere Pro mehrmals geschlossen und wieder geöffnet, das Projekt komplett gelöscht und wieder neu angelegt... Leider vergebens.

 

Ich schneide auf einem MacBook Pro mit M1 Max Prozessor.

 

Könnt ihr mir helfen?

We can't even begin to guess if we don't know your total color management settings.

 

So go to the Settngs tab of lumetri, and open all sections. Make screengrabs, and PLEASE!!!   drag/drop them directly into the text reply box. That way they will simply appear in the post and we don't have to click to open them.

 

And include all sections of the color management. Might take 2-3 screengrabs to get everything.

Hi @Idleminds Media,

Merged your post with a similar issue. Current workaround is to go to the Lumetri Color panel 'hamburger' menu and deselect "Auto-Refresh Input LUT/Look", then try to browse again. Team is aware of bug.

When trying in the basic or creative panel to change LUT only default LUTS will work and the "browse" button just selects the last LUT in the dropdown.

Have tried reinstalling and rebooting just started on the newest version of premeire.

Where are you storing your LUTs on that computer?

Great to hear that worked! I do believe this is a bug though and the team is aware of it.

@Dani_V. Auto-Refresh was checked, and when I disabled it, everything works as expected. So yes this was the issue. Thank you!

@RobShultz Build 19045.5608 is the current one for windows 10, there are no updates

Hi @ryano1391910,

Thank you for your bug report and sorry you're experiencing issues. If you click on the Lumetri Color panel 'hamburger' menu, do you have "Auto-Refresh Input LUT/Look" selected? Are you able to browse if you deselect this?
