MEDIA DOES NOT DISPLAY ON THE TIMELINE ON WINDOWS SYSTEMS

On Windows, if a custom scale factor is set in System > Display, media does not display on the Premiere Pro timeline. We are working to fix this issue in an updated version of Premiere Pro. Two workarounds are available:

  1. In Windows, turn off custom scaling and use one of the standard scaling options, or
  2. In Premiere Pro, turn off GPU-accelerated UI rendering in Preferences > General.

Was hätte passieren sollen?

Was ist tatsächlich passiert?

Updating Status to Fixed in 25.1

Hi Adobe community, for the record I can import and edit files in my timeline but they won't display in my timeline unless I highlight them or sometimes when I try to scroll on the timeline. I'm using the latest version of Premier Pro and I updated my drivers.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Desktop to the Premiere Pro forum.

As you can see on the program monitor, I can look at the video I'm trying to edit but I can't see the clip. It would appear back again and if I shift or do something to it, it will disappear again. I've never had this issue in previous Premiere Pro versions and it's happening after updating it to V25. Does anyone have a solution for this? I've tried deleting my cache, reinstalling the software, changing to different workspaces but nothing seems to work. Thanks.

After checking out other's posts, I tried turning off GPU Accelerated UI Rendering in Preferences > General and restarted Premiere and that seems to have fixed it. And I've seen in one post that they'll be fixing this issue in the next update. Thanks everyone and for whoever's facing this same frustruating issue, just turn off the GPU Rendering thing until Adobe fixes it.

Hi @samuel_faria_de_7500 - This is a known issue that has been fixed in an upcoming release version 25.1.  The workaround is to remove custom scaling in your OS

Hello!

It may have already been resolved,
For those of you who haven't solved it yet, I'll write down the solution I found!

Here's what my machine looks like
Windows 10 Pro
Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 5218R CPU @ 2.10GHz 2.10 GHz (2 processors)
RAM:192 GB
2 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
Monitor: LC49G95T (SAMSUNG 49 Odyssey G9)
It's a feeling.

I also had this problem from the beginning, and the layers came and went.
I was very disappointed that I couldn't use 2025.
The solution was very simple!

If you are using a machine that has this problem, you can use it in your monitor settings
Didn't you change the display size of the screen?

If the recommended size for your display is
It's 5120x1440 pixel.
I installed the monitor a little farther away, so I used custom scaling.
I set it to 115% and enlarged it.

If we simply set this back to 100%... All solved!
It seems that this problem can be solved by scaling the screen display to 100%!
I don't think it's because of the machine specs!

If you are having trouble, please give it a try!!!

That's so funny.  I just downloaded version 25 and there are already bugs in it?

When I opened my CC PP to start a project, I have found an odd error I have never seen before.

I imported my video clips into the project.  Then when I went to add them to the sequence/timeline, the yellow bar appeared on the timeline showing that clips had been inserted but I could not see the clips.

I really need to get this video out today and I don't have time to deal with PP bugs today and I DO NOT want to have to create this video tonight on my home PC.

Has anyone ever seen this?  It's definitely a new one to me.

Randy

Look back thru this thread, there's 5 pages here currently.

That's Windows scaling, go into the settings app and search for 'scale'
