P: Effect Controls values reset when adjusted using Up/Down arrow keys in Premiere Pro 26.5.0

Me pasa exactamente lo mismo que menciona este post. También tengo la versión 26.5.1 y la solución momentánea que encontré fue cargando manualmente con números la escala que deseo, alternativamente, manteniendo el click en la escala y  arrastrándola al punto que quiero.

Adding my experience to this thread because it cost real client trust, not just my time.

I've encountered this bug several times over the past few weeks and had always chalked it up to moving too quickly or not paying attention to where I was clicking.

Yesterday I sat with an agency creative director for an hour placing end card supers across a dozen versions of a major campaign. The visuals of this campaign are very bold and graphic design-heavy. We were quite deliberate with our placements and I used the arrow keys extensively to adjust position and scale.

Our assistant editor prepped the work for the online team and when their WIPs came back, nearly all of the supers were in the wrong locations. We checked our Premiere sequences and sure enough, all of our supers were in the same incorrect locations as the WIPs. Some quick research turned up this bug and we had to go hat in hand back to the agency, apologize for the mistake, and redo all of the placements.

I've since downgraded to 26.3.2 and it seems to be working more reliably, but the fact that this bug was able to slip through QA is completely unacceptable for professional editing software.  I can guarantee the agency I was working with will not look back on this moment and think, "Wow, that was a weird Premiere bug." It's far more likely to be, "Wow, that was weird when the editor lost all of the supers we spent an hour working on."

I hope this issue gets resolved quickly.

Me pasa algo muy similar. Si modifico cualquier parámetro en el panel Control de efectos, al desseleccionar el clip (o cambiar de selección) y volver a entrar, los cambios se pierden y el valor vuelve al estado por defecto (reset).

La única forma en que los cambios se guardan es si, inmediatamente después de modificar el valor, duplico el clip o la capa de ajuste. En ese caso, únicamente la copia duplicada conserva los ajustes aplicados.

I'm experiencing a very similar issue. If I modify any parameter in the Effect Controls panel, deselect the clip (or switch selection), and select it again, the changes are lost and the value resets to default.

The only way the changes stick is if I duplicate the clip or adjustment layer immediately after modifying the value. In that case, only the duplicated copy keeps the applied settings.

I can attest to this bug. I am on version 26.5.1 (Build 1) on MacOS 14.0 and I manually enter values into Position, Scale, and Rotation; I then play my video in the timeline. As soon as I stop the playback, the values I change revert back to either the default (if I only changed the values once) or back to their previous values (if I changed them a second or third time from the default).

I can repeat this over and over. I’ve resorted to writing the values down, then when they revert back, I manually change them again. Usually, once they revert back and I change them again, they stick, but occasionally I have to do it two or three times to get the values to remain.

I’ve experienced this for the last few versions, but it’s been really bad and 100% consistent with 26.5.1. I didn’t do a video as I didn’t think it was necessary since this seems to be a known bug, but I essentially wanted to communicate that typing in the values isn’t a workaround as some here have listed, as least not for me.

I can make changes to size and position in the Effects Controls panel, but when I click to a different place in the timeline or play the timeline, the changes revert to what they were before I made the changes. For instance, I can change a clip from a Scale of 100% to 82% and the clip changes to 82%, but as soon as I click on a different part of the timeline or play the clip, it reverts back to 100%. Even if I set a keyframe, the keyframe will revert to 100%. This is true for any resizing or postion.

Update for this post, it appears to be a similar issue to a bug report we’ve investigated and made. I may be merging this post to the main one, but not to worry, nothing will be lost. It’ll help gather all details for the engineers in one spot.

As ​@Webbfröken mentioned, you can adjust the numbers by slider or entering numerically as a temporary workaround until it is fixed.

For me the problem is : I set the scale, and when i hit playback, my setting has reset. 
It drives me crazy.
