P: Mouse button 'sticks' when moving between timeline tabs.

Say i have 2 timeline tabs open, and i click form Edit to Selects - Often, but not always, premiere will act as if i have the mouse button pressed down and draw a huge marquee rectangle as i move my mouse, and it will keep acting like this until i click the mouse a couple of times to sort of unstick it.

This has happened on and off for at least the past 3 years. Im not sure if it happens to anyone else, but i have  experience it on numerous different machines/premiere versions  so its not a specific version of issues with my specific mac.

Hi @maximeb24899079 - It looks like your UI isn’t updating as quickly. If you switch tabs and wait for the UI to refresh, do you still see the issue? Could you also share your system specs?

Yes, that's it and it's quite obvious now that you mention it. If I wait just a little bit that everything in the UI is steady, there's no issue.
My system specs: Macbook Pro M1 Max (64G RAM) / MacOS 14.8 / Premiere Pro 25.5

Hi Jamie, i replied a while ago but i gues you see mesages differently.

This issue has happened on my macbook pro m2 max, and m1 mac studio, an intel imac, on all versions of premiere from at least the last 3 years. I have no logitech software on my mac and dont think any of the other machines do. I use the greatest mouse the world has ever seen - This guy https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/xPkAAOSwe-NgXxf0/s-l1600.webp

Hi @jamieclarke

Here is a sample video where you see me clicking on timelines tabs, moving them around and clicking on the timelines rulers: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bYPylwmqtol05DdFbEIfONavLfpaUD6K/view?usp=drive_link

See at 15 seconds: instead of going to the timeline ruler as expected, Premiere keeps the timeline tab and move it like I wanted to tab it somewhere else. But I let go the mouse, just like I did before on the video.

Hi @MstrO - Can answer the questions in the pinned post.  @maximeb24899079 @MstrO Would you be able to share a screen recording?

I have the same issue, started a while ago just like you. I know several people around me wondering about that bug as well. Really, really annoying.

Hi @MstrO -   Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How to Report a Problem.

Do you have any logi software installed?  What mouse are you using?

Sorry for the frustration.

Hi there, I have also had this problem for a while (posted about it recently but can’t find the post but found the link to this thread). Waiting for UI to refresh doesn’t work. But YES, i do have a logi software - i use the loupedeck+. Could if be that that causes the issue? I’ll disable it for a bit and see if the problem arises without it… cheers
