Premiere 2026 has another bug with audio channel problems.

At my work, I updated one of the computers to this version to see how it was behaving. Besides having done tests that showed poor performance and slow export times, I detected another bug when opening a project. In previous versions, the audio played in both the left and right channels, but now in this 2026 version, when reopening the project, the audio channels simply disappear. Neither the left nor the right channels appear, depending on the track; they simply vanished out of nowhere.

    Hi @Victor5CD3,

Sorry you’ve been experiencing issues. We need a few more details to help like hardware and operating system information. Please see How to Report a Problem.

When you say the audio channels disappear, are you referring to the clip waveforms, the actual audio output, the audio meters, etc? (A screenshot or screen recording could help)

Is this issue project-specific or are you seeing it in different or new projects?

    Sorry for the frustration,
    Dani

The audio is in LPCM format and comes included in the camera's codec along with the video. This problem really exists; to recover the audio channels, I had to reset the program, but if I open and close the project a few times, the problem reappears. I only use one audio track because I edit news reports. Yes, in the meters and in the track, the L and R letters.

My hardware is a Ryzen 5700x, Gigabyte AORUS Elite B550 motherboard, 64 GB of RAM, a new RTX 5060 Ti 16GB graphics card, 1 TB and 2 TB NVMe SSDs, and Windows 11 24h2 with all Microsoft updates installed. Nvidia Studio driver from January 5th of this month.

I managed to work around this problem here with the help of a friend from another production company, but everything indicates it's a bug. To solve it, it was quite simple: Shift+6, I went to the mixer window and set all the controls to zero. They displayed -100 or +100, indicating that everything was to the left (L) or right (R). However, if I keep opening and closing the project, sometimes the problem reappears.
