Premiere 24.5 Crashing Anytime I Add Text. It Doesn't Matter The Font.

I also have this bug, very frustrating! I have to close my program after every time I do something with text.

Even in beta, it crashes. I'm unable to submit a crash report since the crash utility doesn't pop up like it usually does.

Sorry you're also experiencing crashes. Could you create a new thread for your issue since I think it's a separate issue than what is happening here?

Please include this information, it is also valuable if you can cause a crash and send in the crash report if you haven't already. If you have time, it can be helpful to know if you're experiencing the same issue in the beta.

It doesn't crash right away when I create the text, but after a minute or so it crashes again. For some reason the crash report window doesn't pop up like it usually does in the public release. Is there a way I can send it without the program? I am on a mac and don't see anything in the following folder:
/Users/****/Documents/Adobe/Common/Assets/Text Styles

I believe this started happening after the May 2024 24.4release (the one introducing crossfade by dragging the edges).
- I've been using the same fonts and haven't installed any new ones. The main font I use in all my projects is Montserrat (I've tried the one installed from google fonts as well as the adobe family version. Both seem to crash.) It didn't start crashing until after that 24.4 update.

- I haven't tried after effects mogrts, but even in the latest after effects version, if I add text, it crashes as well.
- Shapes do not cause a crash.
- Same thing happens with the beta.

The way I keep getting this issue is by clicking and dragging a text box, making the font size a bit larger, typing while holding down shift, and about 1-3 words in, it crashes.

I am a Windows 11 user, but I see that Mac users are having problems with this version too.

Premeiere crashes V 24.5.0 (build57), when I am not doing anything. Completed some editing. Simple cut edits of existing footage. Went to edit a new sequence that had already been created, and Premiere just closed. No error messages, but on restarting, got the message that it had unexpectedly closed. Now I open the project, don't do anything, then Premiere closes. Cleared Cache, but no change.

Can you tell me

• If this always happened with 24.5 or started after some time?
• If it was after some time, have you installed any fonts recently?
• Do After Effects mogrts cause the same crash, or just Premiere mogrts?
• Do shapes cause a crash?
• Does it happen to you if you use the beta?

Anything else you can tell me about your workflow will be very valuable in helping diagnose what's going on.
