Premiere 26.3 will only relink one proxy at a time, required rollback to 26.2.2
When connecting proxies to full resolution media, Premiere 26.3 will only connect one proxy at a time. It spends a lot of time as if trying to connect more than one file, but ultimately only attaches one. The only fix for this was to roll back to 26.2.2, which then worked for the same projects and the same media. This has happened since the release of 26.3, so I had to roll back almost immediately, but I tried updating Premiere again recently and had the same issue. The proxies are all in the same folder, I’m using media browser to attach files, and the ‘Relink others automatically’ box is checked in both instances.
Steps to reproduce in 26.2.2:
- Select a group of clips in the project panel and right click → proxy → attach proxies
- Attach the first clip by clicking ‘Attach’ and navigating to the location of your proxies using media browser
- That proxy is attached, but none of the rest are unless you do each individual file manually.
