Quite a few if not most of us, have been forced to use work-arounds because of Adobe Premiere’s severe limitations at synchronizing footage:  any more than one clip on a track, and we’re forced to round-trip out of the program to solutions like PluralEyes, etc.  This has meant that synchronized sequences could be “converted” into Multicam sequences by right-clicking on them and selecting the “Enable” submenu item.

It seems possible that Adobe broke this feature.  But overall Adobe needs to finally take synchronization seriously.  For years, it’s been a joke, assuming that we only have a single clip per track to synchronize in a project.

I agree. Coming from the Avid world, where I worked for decades, the syncing and grouping, working with grouped clips, and multigroups is just SO much smarter there. Don’t get me wrong, Premiere has a lot of great features, but it feels lightyears behind in this aspect.

I am having a similar issue. I’ve been editing the past few days on various projects using multicams without issue. However all the sudden one that I created will not show the alternate camera when I try to change it. I have it enabled on the timeline, and other clips work fine. But all the sudden all I see is black when I switch cameras on my timeline. When I go back to my multicam sequence and try to change the camera there, I can see the other camera. But then, on my edit timline I can no longer see the main camera. It’s like my main timeline is only allowing me to see one camera angle at a time. Obviously I have restarted Premiere, and that didn’t fix it. I created a new (not a copy) test sequence and put some of the multicam clip on there, and the same issue is occuring.

I’ve seen nothing but BUGS all around on v26 and it’s really time consuming to try and fix it left and right.

    Hi @danscofi,

Sorry you’ve been experiencing issues. We need a few more details to help, like hardware and operating system information. Please see How to Report a Problem.

Have you tried resetting your workspace and resetting your preferences? (make a backup first)

Is your multicam track the only targeted track in your sequence when you are trying this? And do you have any third-party plugins or panels in use?

Could you also let us know let us know if this is happening on all projects or if it is project-specific?

    Sorry for the frustration,

    Dani
